A Seattle crew that looks after boats properly
Sea-Commerce is the Thorburn Marine crew under a new name. The same people and the same standards, now with the gear we trust available to buy as well.
We started as Thorburn Marine, a mobile service business looking after motor yachts around Seattle. Many of the owners we work for today have been with us for years, and that kind of long relationship is how we like to work.
Sea-Commerce brings everything we do under one name: servicing and repair work, full refits and project management, a shop stocked with the gear we install on our customers' boats, and the Bosun's Locker for good second-hand parts.
We come to you
We are a mobile crew with a workshop close to the water. The work happens at your dock, in the marina or at a local yard, so your boat stays where it is.
Done to ABYC standards
Our technicians are ABYC Certified and work to the standard the industry sets, not the minimum a job can get away with.
Honest advice
We tell you what needs to be done now and what can wait. We would rather earn your trust over years than try to sell you everything on the first visit.
One team, start to finish
From a single repair to a full refit, the same team plans the work, does it and stands behind it afterward.
Gear we would install ourselves
Everything in our shop is something we would put on our own boats. If we would not install it, we do not sell it.
In it for the long haul
For our long-term clients the work is planned through the winter, so the boat is ready every summer rather than rushed in spring.
